For decades, Montgomery locals were the only ones with access to Mis’ Rubin’s wonderful spices. For a few years now, EVERYONE has known the secret to “the best steaks this side of heaven,” as both Black Magic and White Magic have been available here in our online store.

But now… Fish Magic and Creole Magic are making their big public debut as well. Now ALL FOUR seasonings popularized in Montgomery and throughout Alabama since the 1930s are available right here, and 20% off in this 4-pack for a limited time only.

Black Magic is a savory seasoning that enhances the natural flavors of the meat. Unlike a lot of rubs, these spices work their magic best when applied generously (don’t be shy, you can’t overdo it) to your cook-out favorites like steak, ribs, burgers, pork, and game. While grilling is our favorite way to use Black Magic, it works just as well on roasts and in cast iron cooking.

Locals came to know and love White Magic for its unique savory flavor with just a hint of citrus. White magic is an all-purpose seasoning best served as a dry rub on chicken, fish, and pork. On the other hand, it’s a really versatile blend, so it’s great in pastas, veggies, and soups as well.
