Commissions
The amount of commission is determined by which package a vendor chooses. Commission is based on total sales price, not taking into account shipping or taxes.
Taxes
As a Marketplace Facilitator, Front Porch Alabama will collect and remit all sales taxes through an Avalara integration. No fees are passed to the vendor.
Payment Processing
In order to receive payments, a vendor must sign up with Stripe during the onboarding process. Stripe charges 3.15% + .30 per every transaction. Amount will be reflected on payment remittance to the vendor. Affirm charges 6% +.30 per transaction for pay over time.
Shipping
An integration with Shippo is provided to vendors who sign up during onboarding. Through Shippo you can offer live rate or flat rate shipping through a variety of carriers. You can also set up free shipping based on a dollar amount spent. Shippo allows you to print labels and track shipments within your vendor dashboard. Please note we do not allow in-store pick up since we are an online-only shopping platform.
Return, Refund and Exchange Policy
To ensure a first-rate shopping experience on Front Porch Alabama, we have an across the site return, refund and exchange policy facilitated by the Front Porch team. The policy based on best-in class practices of marketplaces allows shoppers to initiate a return within 14 days of product arrival and requires them to return the product to the merchant within 30 days of the product arrival. Front Porch will review and validate requests. Legitimate requests will then be forwarded to the merchant to determine an appropriate resolution whether it be return and refund of the item or exchange of the item. There is a list of non-returnable items which shoppers can access within Customer Support. We do not allow in-store exchanges or in-store credit since we are an online-only shopping platform.
