Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday: Fourth of July Events Across Alabama

This Fourth of July, Alabama’s skies will sparkle a little brighter, the fireworks will boom a little louder, and communities across the state will celebrate with even greater enthusiasm. Why? Because 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a once-in-a-generation milestone known as the American Semiquincentennial. Communities from the Gulf Coast to the Tennessee Valley are planning expanded festivals, patriotic tributes, concerts, parades, and fireworks displays to commemorate America’s 250th birthday.

Whether your ideal Independence Day includes a lakeside fireworks show, a hometown parade, a music festival, or a day immersed in American history, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate across the Yellowhammer State.
