Harvest on Hoyt Returns to Crestline Village for Third Annual Community Supper

The Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce will welcome the community back to Hoyt Lane on Sunday, October 25, for the Third Annual Harvest on Hoyt, presented by Finch Fine Wines, an elegant community supper in the heart of Crestline Village benefiting Leadership Mountain Brook.
For one evening each fall, Hoyt Lane is transformed into a beautiful open air gathering place where friends and neighbors come together around one table. Guests will enjoy a four course community supper prepared by Dyron’s Lowcountry, exceptional wines from Finch Fine Wines, and an evening centered around food, connection, and the community they call home.

At the heart of Harvest on Hoyt is Leadership Mountain Brook, a partnership between the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce, the City of Mountain Brook, and Mountain Brook City Schools. The program gives Mountain Brook High School juniors and seniors opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, engage with local and state leaders, learn more about their community, and develop projects designed to make a meaningful impact throughout Mountain Brook.

One of the most special traditions of Harvest on Hoyt is the role the students themselves play in the evening. Leadership Mountain Brook students help serve the community supper to the guests who have gathered to support them, creating a meaningful connection between the students and the community investing in their ideas.
“Harvest on Hoyt has become such a special evening because it truly feels like Mountain Brook gathered around one table,” said Lizzie Maymon, Executive Director of the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce. “There is something incredibly meaningful about watching our Leadership Mountain Brook students serve the community that is there to support them. It is a beautiful evening, but more importantly, it represents the kind of connection and investment in the next generation that makes this community so special.”
The impact of the evening continues long after the table is cleared. Funds raised through last year’s Harvest on Hoyt helped support projects developed by last year’s Leadership Mountain Brook class, including updates to the Tot Lot, the creation of a children’s coloring book for the Mountain Brook Library, a Crestline Village Bee Trail Scavenger Hunt currently in development, and a redesigned visitor pamphlet for the Alabama Veterans Memorial Park.
Each project began with students looking closely at the community they call home, identifying opportunities, listening to community leaders and residents, and developing ideas that could leave Mountain Brook even better than they found it.
“Seeing these students take an idea from a classroom conversation to something tangible in our community is exactly what Leadership Mountain Brook is about,” Maymon said. “Harvest on Hoyt gives us the opportunity to gather for an incredible evening while also giving these students the resources to dream bigger and bring those ideas to life.”

Harvest on Hoyt will take place Sunday, October 25, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Hoyt Lane in Crestline Village. Tickets are $200 per person and include the four course supper by Dyron’s Lowcountry and wines from Finch Fine Wines. Seating is limited, and advance reservations are required.
