First Fridays In Downtown Florence (Aug)

Discover local artists and great shops in downtown Florence at the fun street festival held on the first friday of the month from May through November.* Located on the downtown shopping district of Florence, the event features booths with handmade crafts and art, food trucks, live music and exhibits by nonprofits.

First Fridays gives newcomers a chance to experience the vibrant charm of downtown Florence with its walkable streets and plenty of inspiring things to do with plenty of shops, restaurants, and historical attractions. During First Fridays, restaurants, cafes, and gift shops stay open late for leisurely dinners and browsing. Festival vendors exhibit and sell handmade items including paintings, ceramics, artisans, folklife art, and much more. 

Admission is free and the hours are 5:30-8:30 p.m. May, September, October and November and 5:30-9:00 p.m. in June and August. Court Street & surrounding access roads will close at 4:30 p.m. on event days. Parking is available away from Court Street and in the public parking garage on Tennessee street.The event will continue as scheduled, rain or shine. The event will only be canceled for safety in the case of severe weather or lightning.

*There will not be a First Friday event in July due to Independence Day celebrations.
