Rodeo Fun For All Ages

The community came out in droves to fully experience the rodeo. In between all the past paced rodeo action, attendees enjoyed delicious carnival style food and fun activities such as mechanical bull riding.

Amatuers Take The Ring And Delight All

Throughout the two days of the event, the rodeo invited kids and adults into the ring for fun activities such as hobby horse races, the Gold Rush where kids search for coins hidden in the straw and blow-up horse relays.

The Rodeo Action Was HOT

Cowboys and cowgirls thrilled the crowd with their fearless and expert riding skills in Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie Down Roping, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding.

Mutton Bustin’ Challenged Younger Riders

The crowd favorite event was the Mutton Bustin’ where children aged 4-8 tried their hand at riding (and being bucked off) a sheep! The children had a blast – while wearing protective helmets – trying to best the wily sheep under the supervision of Justalil’ Rodeo Company from Grady, Alabama.

In The End, The Community Is The Big Winner

Hosted by the Monroeville/Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Monroeville, the two-day event brought together all walks of life from the community with money being raised to support local children’s projects sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Monroeville.

This National Cowboy Pro Rodeo Association (NCPRA) sanctioned event was organized by the 5T Rodeo Company, led by world champion calf roper and Mississippi Hall of Fame inductee Herbert Theriot. Proceeds from the rodeo help support the Monroeville Kiwanis Club’s numerous children’s projects, including the Angel Tree, Monroe County Library, Monroeville YMCA, Monroe County Education Foundation, and scholarships for local high school students.
