Open-Air Fun for the Whole Family

Mobile Bay Maker’s Market is a like an open gallery, according to the market’s founder Amanda Webb, owner of Wild Magnolia Kombucha. The open air, sustainably driven market held in the heart of Fairhope is family and dog friendly with live music adding to the fun ambiance.

New Location, Same Community Feel

For years the market was held at the South Beach Park in Fairhope, but due to a waterfront restoration project the market recently moved its location a few blocks away from the Fairhope Pier area. The temporary Location of the market is in the greenspace surrounding the American Legion Post 199 located at 700 South Mobile Street in Fairhope near the Orange Street Pier-Beach.

Growing Strong: From Humble Beginnings

From its humble of beginnings with a handful of vendors, the market now has a base of about 120 local businesses that participate depending on the season. Webb said when she created the market, she envisioned a place where local artisans and business owners could come together to showcase their talent and work.

“Fairhope is a community of artists. That’s what we are,” Webb said.

A Showcase for Local Talent

Vendors at the market must create, grow, or make at least 80 percent of what they sell. Check out the variety of merchants from around the Gulf Coast who sell:

  • Fresh Produce (fruits and vegetables)
  • Local foods & beverages
  • Flowers
  • Live Plants
  • Fine Art & Crafts
  • Baked Goods
  • Natural Products
  • Soaps, Candles and Home Goods
  • Herbs

Taking place on Sundays every two weeks, the market typically opens in early March and runs through mid December and is open from 9 am to 2 pm. Check the market schedule for exact dates at Mobile Bay Maker’s Market.
