“Destiny Defeats Dynasty”- One of the wonderful opportunities I have is to suspend in space and time extraordinary events in the history of this Sporting Life that we all are living. By capturing these events visually in a painting others can relive, remember and relish those events. Such an event was the missed field goal by Alabama with one second left on the clock and the historic run back by Chris Davis and the Auburn University team of 109 yards, with no time left on the clock, to win the 2013 Iron Bowl over Alabama, 34 to 28. It had never happened before in Modern NCAA College Football History, but now it has, and Auburn and Chris Davis did it. As ESPN said, “They will be chasing him forever”; and they will!
