Founded in 1977, the group opened the very first downtown Mobile parade and ball that same inaugural year \u2014 a tradition that\u2019s continued every Mardi Gras season since.  Named in honor of the French general (and local namesake) Prince de Cond\u00e9 \u2014 for whom historic Fort Conde is named \u2014 the Cavaliers take great pride in bringing pageantry, festivity, and community spirit to every event.
